Dad woke up feeling the need to urinate. Suddenly he developed severe
persistent left sided chest pain.Took his prn meds, still in pain.
My mom wake me up around 3am after seeing dad i know he's having a
heart attack
>conscious.
>BP 160/100
>meds were given (isordil,catapress) still in pain, severe.
>cold and clammy gasping for air
>was rushed to the hospital
> diagnosed with the following:
1.Hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease,
recent non-ST elevation MI, probable old inferior MI.
2.DM type 2; and 3. Dyslipidemia.

He was given 3 shots of morphin. Hooked to a cardiac monitor a lot more intervention
was done. Apparently there's no available ICU room during that time, my brother asked if dad could be transferred to makati since He was on DR rotation and giving birth, but would like to see dad's condition and of course be on his side for whatever may happen. We took the risk and rushed him all the way to Makati. He was then admitted to the ICU and stayed there for 4 more days.
Can you just imagine our agony. My mom,2 brothers and I are all in medical fields. But when time comes especially when your love one's life is at stake you can't help but cry.Right now he's stable. Thanks to his 13 different magical medicines that do the tricks everyday. He is still scheduled to undergo angiogram on nov 18. He might be positive for angioplasty or open heart surgery. Right now, in times like this, i gain strength to God's graces and everyone's support.I wanna see Dad do his thing again.the normal way.. Soon. Very soon..
